Course
Description
H.F.R.S. is used when conventional ground based evacuation techniques
will not be sufficient in getting a person with a life threatening injury:
Out
of the accident site because of difficult access
To
medical aid within the 'Golden Hour.'
There
is greater risk to rescuers during the ground rescue than during the
helicopter rescue.
H.F.R.S. uses a helicopter and a long line along with various rescue
systems components (Department of Transport approved) to place rescuers
into and extricate victims out of technical and potentially dangerous
environments. H.F.R.S. can effectively minimize the risk to both victims
and rescuers by reducing the amount of time they are exposed to risk
and by speeding up the extrication process. Vertical Systems International
Inc. is considered to be the best company in North America in rescue
and the art of rigging fall protection systems for working at heights.
The strength of our programs lies in the fact that our instructors are
real practitioners of rescue and rope access systems.
