Why Is Tower Climbing Training Necessary? According to Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA) and The Workers Compensation Board (WCB) the employer is responsible for identifying work place hazards, and training workers to manage these hazards.

Part II in the WCB Regulations states that
"...workers must be protected from fall hazards when working at a height of 10ft or more."

The Tower Climbing Instructor Course provides complete fundamentals for an in house training program that will be accepted by the WCB and OSHA.

Part 32 of the WCB Regulations states that the
"... employer must provide rescue for employees that work at heights. If rescue is not readily available then workers must be trained to rescue themselves."

The VSI Tower Rescue Kit provides a safe and simple solution to operations that
have workers climbing towers that are long distances from organized emergency response teams.
