Basic Mountain Safety Awareness Training
no pre-requisite necessary
This course is a basic level course designed to be taught to the field technician. All course material is geared towards hazard identification, elimination and accident prevention. The course is presented using new media audio visual training aids including digital video, digital still photos, Power Point, slide show presentations and a training manual that is industry specific. Training places emphases on leadership skills and responsibilities for the Line Boss and Coordinators. Instructors deliver the theory portion of the course during 10 to 15 minute safety meetings in the morning and then go out into the field with students to capture teachable moments, observing, correcting and assisting students with the subject matter.

1-Day Mountain Rescue
and Evacuation Awareness Training

This course is designed for safety professionals and managers whose job it is to stay current with the latest mountain rescue and evacuation techniques.

Topics include:
Emergency pre-hospital care
Helicopter long line rescue techniques
Current evacuation equipment including stretchers
Improvised Rescue Techniques
of the Modern Mountain Guide.
Wilderness Survival Techniques and Systems
Guest speakers will include: Alpine Specialists Mountain Guides

1-Day Rope Access Awareness Training
no pre-requisite necessary
This is an awareness level course designed for safety professionals and operations managers. This course takes the student and introduces them to the vertical world of rope access work. Students will attend a half day of theory and a half day of field work where they will get an opportunity to don a harness, build anchors and rappel down the side of the mountain. The course offers participants to become updated with the latest international standards pertaining to Industrial fall protection and rope access work. This course is an excellent opportunity to do teambuilding.

Advanced Alpine Safety Training
no pre-requisite necessary
This course is designed to teach the line boss, coordinator or crew member Wilderness leadership skills such as to be able to manage an accidental overnight situation and coordinate an emergency evacuation of a person with a minor injury. Emphasis is placed on outdoor leadership skills, both hard skills and soft skills, managing subjective and objective hazards in stressful situations.
