Is Fall Protection Training Necessary?

Training Objectives
Upon successful completion of the VSI fall protection courses students will be able to competently protect themselves and others when working at heights. Choose he training that is appropriate for your work situation.


Level I - Awareness

1/2 day (4 hrs) 1 instructor per 15 students.
Students will learn the fundamental safety requirements. (more information)


Level II- Systems Training

2 days (16 hrs), 1 instructor per 8 students
Students will learn in an hands on environment the fundamentals of working at height. This level of training is appropriate for workers who have specific work tasks at height with permanently engineered anchors and protection systems.

Level III- Competent Person
3 days (24 hrs), 1 instructor per 8 students
Competent Person training is appropriate for workers who routinely perform a variety of tasks at height. Students will learn to rig fall protection systems with confidence.
